Built a browser-based promotional game for 1XSTAVKA to engage users during COVID-19 when football events were canceled.

With sports on hold, we developed a simple yet effective game to keep users connected to the 1XSTAVKA betting platform. Collaborating with the client, we designed mechanics and a points system that rewarded players with site bonuses, driving both engagement and brand loyalty.

From Idea to Execution

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted businesses worldwide, halting football events and impacting our client, 1XSTAVKA. To adapt, we brainstormed creative ways to maintain user interest despite the lack of live sports.

One idea stood out: a lightweight browser game inspired by classics like “Chrome Dino.” It required minimal development resources, making it a practical solution. We pitched it to the client as a fun way to engage users, and they greenlit the project.

Players controlled a footballer running in a medical mask, collecting points while dodging obstacles.

Branding Touch

A “Play at Home” slogan hung above the virtual stands, reinforcing the stay-safe message during lockdown.

Reward System

Points earned in-game could be exchanged for bonuses on the 1XSTAVKA website—the more points, the bigger the rewards.

The Game

Implementation and Impact

We presented the finished game to 1XSTAVKA, and it quickly gained traction. Users enjoyed playing, accumulating points as they navigated challenges. These points seamlessly translated into tangible perks, redeemable as bonuses on the betting platform.
